S.O.A.P. Project

In March, Lynn Anamasi flew south to present the S.O.A.P. Project to the Mercy Associates with several Sisters of Mercy in attendance at the convent in Mobile, Alabama. Explaining that force, fraud and coercion is what constitutes a victim of trafficking, Lynn presented how soap bars in hotels had helped rescue victims of this atrocity.

Lynn has been a Mercy Associate for over 10 years during which she served as a Local Area Facilitator and is currently the Region 10 area Coordinator. As part of Lynn’s journey as a Mercy Associate, in 2015 she partnered with an organization that educates the community on the signs of human trafficking called S.O.A.P. S.O.A.P. stands for Save Our Adolescents from Prostitution. Lynn started a chapter of SOAP in Jacksonville Florida where she lived for 10 years before moving to Charlotte North Carolina and began a new SOAP chapter.
