Love All Pantry in Mobile, Alabama
The Mobile/Baldwin Mercy Associates took a field trip on April 16th to learn about Love All Pantry, the largest food bank in Mobile. From 60 to 80 volunteers of Love All Pantry distribute 25,000 pounds of groceries to 650 low-income families every Tuesday. Each family receives approximately 35 pounds of nutritious foods including frozen meat, fresh produce, grains, canned goods and bakery items.
The Love All Pantry Is dedicated to hungry and food insecure people. There is no judgement and everyone is welcome is their mantra. Love All Pantry contends that building positive relationships with those served is at the heart of its ministry. Volunteers also distribute to 150 families unable to come to the pantry.
Connie Guggenbiller, founder and director of Love All Pantry was recently chosen as the “Feel Good Friday Honoree” by the City of Mobile. Connie presented the pantry’s history and program to Mercy Associates and several Sisters of Mercy in attendance.
